TULIP

Rescued in January 2025. Seeking Sponsor. In Training/Rehabilitation.

Tulip is a 12.0hh, 12-year-old Welsh/Hackney pony mare we found in Tennessee. Crippled by founder, mistreated and terribly neglected, her feet were long and twisted, she was ill with Strangles, and she was terrified. Unlikely to be saved, we rescued and quarantined her.

She arrived in March of 2024, and for over three months, we could only catch her with a chute. While we worked on gentling her, Tulip had farrier and vet care every four weeks. Incredibly, despite severe founder and many years of neglect, she is serviceably sound and on track to become a therapy or leadline pony. Close to feral on arrival, she was hand fed by volunteers, twice-daily for six months. Tulip now waits at the gate to come in and is being groomed and led by volunteers and groups.

She will become adoptable in Spring 2026!
