TULIP

Tulip is a 12.0hh, 12-year-old Welsh/Hackney pony mare we rescued in Tennessee. When we found her, she could barely walk and was essentially feral. Abused and terribly neglected, her feet were long and twisted, and she was sick, weak and underweight. Unlikely to be saved, we rescued and quarantined her.

She arrived in March of 2024, and for over three months, we could only catch her with a chute. She was hand fed by volunteers twice-daily for six months while receiving farrier and vet care every four weeks. Incredibly, despite severe founder and many years of neglect, she is now barefoot and sound on soft ground. Tulip now waits at the gate to come in and is being groomed and led by volunteers and groups.

More than a companion, but less than a riding pony, Tulip is looking for a forever home where she will be handled and loved on.
