PLUM

Rescued in July, 2024. Adoptable Now.

This 15.0hh 17-year-old Quarterhorse mare sat in a North Carolina kill pen for a month, losing weight and doing poorly. We stepped in at the 11th hour when no one else did, only to discover she was pregnant several weeks into her quarantine. She arrived on July 29th.

Her surprise baby mule filly was born on April 30th, 2025. Mama and baby did beautifully! Plum nursed for six months, then gradually weaned baby Reba. Reba was lovingly rehomed, and Plum happily turned to her refresher training as a trail horse. She loves her job and is looking for her person!
