Meet one of our December 2023 saves! This large and lovely fellow was not what we expected, but a gentle and worthy creature without a doubt. Described as a 15hh 10-year-old, he is in fact 15.3hh and 18 years old. He was at a kill pen in VA, sick and slated to ship the following morning. He looks to have been a driving horse, and based on his condition, sat untouched in a field for a long time following a major accident. Well-mannered, sound, kind, and likely a Standardbred-TB cross, he started under saddle for the first time in April 2024 and is taking to his new job beautifully.
